This is a 9x12 plein air painting done at the West End Park at Lake Pontchartrain. It was done with a 1-1/2 hour limit trying to beat the rain. When painting plein air, one tries to paint quickly and loosely so as not to be chasing the light. Also the reason for a smaller size canvas. I enjoyed being outside so the sense of color and shapes are not distorted by the camera lens.
