This painting was done from a photo I took while visiting Lake Como as part of a Viking cruise. The shot was taken from a boat that was part of a lake cruise.  The village is Brienno on the lake.  I was a little intimidated by the complexity of so many small buildings with different pastel colors and the resulting shadows.  The roofs were the thing that held it all together.  It was a great trip all provided by Viking.
